Salim Khan slams Milkha Singh, defends Salman as Goodwill Ambassador
The celebrated writer backed his superstar son as the right choice for the honour
Salman Khan’s appointment as Goodwill Ambassador of Rio Olympics 2016 has sparked a controversy of sorts. Besides wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, Milkha Singh too expressed his displeasure over the choice, stating that a sportsperson would have been a fitting ambassador.
Now, Salim Khan has broken his silence and come out in the open to defend his superstar son.
In a series of tweets, the celebrated scriptwriter stated how Salman has been an “A-level swimmer, cyclist and weightlifter.”
Khan went a step further when it came to reacting to Milkha Singh’s statement. In a direct hit to the famed athlete, Khan posted how it was Bollywood that “resurrected” Milkha Singh and that sportspersons are admired only because of sports lovers.
